LET’S MAKE A LITTLE SENSE OF IT

A little help.
A quieter day.

Start here for setup, saved notifications,
rules and Quietly Pro.

Your first few minutes with Quietly

  1. 01

    Install the Android app.

Quietly supports Android 7.0 and later. Google Play shows availability for your device. There is currently no iPhone version.

  2. 02

    Review notification access.

Read the in-app disclosure, give consent if you agree, then enable Quietly in Android notification access settings. Menu names vary by phone.

  3. 03

    Let a new notification arrive.

Check that notification processing is active. Quietly begins recording accessible new alerts; it cannot fill in history from before setup.

  4. 04

Preview, search, or create one rule.

Start with one familiar notification. For a blocking rule, review the sending app and text conditions before you save.

When something feels off

Why is my notification history empty?
Check consent, Android notification access and whether Quietly processing is active. Then wait for a newly delivered notification from another app. The sending app must allow notifications, and your phone’s background restrictions can interrupt processing. Earlier dismissed alerts do not appear retroactively. Read the history guide.
Why can’t I see the whole message?
Quietly can only save the text supplied in an accessible notification. A messenger may hide previews, shorten text or send a generic notice. It cannot reconstruct the full chat. See how previews work.
Why does a blocked notification still make a sound?
Quietly removes matching notifications after Android posts them. A sound or banner can occur first. To control interruptions before they happen, check the sending app’s notification categories and Android’s sound or Do Not Disturb settings.
My rule catches too much. What should I change?
Disable that rule, then review its app, title, text and schedule conditions. Use a specific phrase instead of a broad word. Block rules take priority over allow rules, so an allow rule does not override a matching block. Build a more precise rule.
Can I recover deleted history?
Quietly has no developer-operated content cloud to restore from. Deleted local history, expired records and notifications it never captured cannot be recreated by granting access again or upgrading to Pro.
ONE OPTIONAL UPGRADE

Quietly Pro, without a subscription.

Install Quietly, then open the Pro upgrade screen from inside the app. Your local price and purchase terms appear before you confirm with Google Play.

  • No ads
  • Unlimited saved rules
  • 30- and 90-day insight comparisons

Pro is a one-time lifetime purchase. Keyword rules, schedules, notification history, search and retention controls are already available in Free, within the five-saved-rule limit. Retention is separate from the insights comparison window.

If a purchase is not recognized, confirm you are using the Google Play account that bought Pro, then use any restore option shown in the app or contact support. Do not repurchase just to troubleshoot.

Still need a hand?

Email your phone model, Android version, Quietly version and a short description of what happened. Leave private message content out unless it is necessary and you choose to share it.
